Miloš Brunclík is particularly concerned with key institutions in democratic regime types: head of state - cabinet and parliament, including their interactions in the context of the study of parliamentary and semi-presidential regimes. The major point of departure is institutional, resp. constitutional perspective, which is completed with a focus on informal factors that significantly affect power dynamics among the above institutions. He is further interested in modern types of political parties, constitutional conventions as well as technocratic cabinets.
